Template settings allow you to define the base configuration for your interactive emails, ensuring consistency across different email clients.

Accessing Template Settings

To modify these settings while inside the form builder:
  1. In the top-right navigation bar, next to the Preview button, click the three-dot icon ()
  2. Choose Template Settings from the dropdown menu to open the configuration panel on the right.

Rendering Options

Interactive emails require a “fallback” version for clients that do not support advanced features such as AMP or advanced HTML/CSS.

Render Fallback Version

When this toggle is ON, Kinetic automatically generates a static HTML version of your form. This ensures that every subscriber can still view and submit the form, even if their email client doesn’t support the interactive (AMP/Apple Mail) experience.

Custom Fonts

You can customize the fonts in your interactive form to match your brand’s style guide.
Platform Compatibility: Google fonts are only supported in Apple Mail (strange, we know). Other interactive clients (such as those rendering AMP) and static fallback versions will use standard system fonts.

Customizing Typography

You can define up to two custom fonts within each template.
  1. Font Family: Choose your preferred font (e.g., Arial, Helvetica).
  2. Font Weight: Select the thickness of the text, ranging from Normal (400) to Bold (700).
  3. Apply to Elements: Use the checkboxes to decide exactly which parts of your form use these fonts. You can target:
    • Headings (H1, H2, H3)
    • Question Labels
    • Answer Options
    • Buttons

Advanced Customization

For teams requiring precise control over their layout, the Custom CSS Selectors field allows you to enter specific selectors for advanced styling.
This field is designed for advanced users who want to apply custom branding to specific interactive elements. If you are unsure of which selectors to use, please contact our support team by clicking the support button in the top right, or reaching out to us via slack.
